My Birth Stories: From Marvel to Motherhood
Supporting other mothers in their own births has become both my redemption and my joy. Every time I witness a woman in her power, I feel it in every cell of my body. And when things don’t go as planned, I know how to hold space through the unexpected—with compassion, steadiness, and deep respect—if and when they’re ready for it.

Breastfeeding Is Natural, But It’s work!
Breastfeeding is a journey of both beauty and challenge. It’s the quiet midnight feeds, the tender bonding, and also the tears, doubts, and learning curves along the way. Through its ups and downs, breastfeeding invites patience, surrender, and deep connection between mother and baby.

What is Freebirth?
Free birth, or unassisted birth, is the intentional choice to give birth without medical intervention or attendance. Rooted in trust, intuition, and body sovereignty, free birth celebrates birth as a natural, sacred, and deeply human experience.

(A Devoted) Guardian of the Journey
In every birth, there’s someone who steps into the role of Guardian of the Journey. It’s a role that goes beyond simply witnessing; it’s about holding space, offering comfort, and creating a sense of calm through the unpredictable and sacred process of labor.

Baby Sleep
As babies grow and begin to understand object permanence, they start to realize that when their parents leave the room, they're not gone forever. This awareness can be a double-edged sword.

Unassisted Birth
Our society often shows criticism and judgement toward those who dare to choose a different path from the mass, yet this mother did not shy away from defying the stigma that our society has built around birth. We grow up seeing birth as one of the most frightening days of our lives; I wish anyone could experience birth like this family did!

Birth Photography After a Cesarean
I am so grateful to this family for valuing birth photography after a cesarean as the opportunity to capture this experience a role model for their wise three daughters and amazing son. This mom broke all the records and won against all the odds, even birthing her daughter on her own birth-day!

Cesarean Birth is Birth
Beautiful story of a Mama’s journey to birth her baby boy through embracing flexibility, tears and an unplanned outcome.

A Beautiful Butter Birth at Home
I loved watching how mom at first simply enjoyed baby by greeting and talking and THEN decided to discover the gender.

Celebrities who eat their Placentas
While the FDA has not made any effort in conducting any research on the benefits of Placenta consumption, it could be argued that this is a good thing, because we all know that the very moment they decide that it has to be regulated and approved, the many restrictions and rules about the process will definitely penalize not only Celebrities who eat their Placentas, but also any mothers and babies.

Is Homebirth Safe?
Women have birthed their babies at home since the beginning of time, never wondering: Is Homebirth Safe?
When the concept of hospitalization during child labor was not yet the norm, we were used to homebirth as the normal way of giving birth.

Baby makes 4: Amazing Maternity Photoshoot in the South Bay
After a delightful ride in the car ride, where I got to sit next to little man soon to be big brother, we parked next to a trail close by Rancho Palos Verdes. Mom said this place reminded her of Virginia and its beautiful forests. So we strolled around and played hide and seek with the sun for some good light exposure. Big brother to be would come in and out of the picture. Sometimes posing and sometimes adding his own spunk to the maternity session.

Amazing Homebirth Prenatal Visit
Whether you hire me as your Doula or just to document your birth, I always offer a Homebirth Prenatal Visit. The birth team gets to see the space and reflects on the logistics. Mom gets a taste of what type of energy the birth team will bring into her sacred space. Her family has the chance to meet the birth team, perhaps for the first time, and while I think older siblings are quick to warm up, I am a strong believer that they should be included as often as possible in the care of their baby. These visits are such a gift. They are like a birth team group hug with a huge scope of imagination.

Beautiful Babies and Flowers photo session in Culver City
Imagine the joy of being able to combine my two favorite things: babies and flowers!

Magical Homebirth during the Full Moon
This homebirth during the full moon was nothing short of miraculous and the biggest lesson for me to treasure that ultimately, whoever is meant to be at a birth will be there. No matter how fast the time is ticking and how much travel we have planned.

Incredible non-intervention Hospital Birth
Once arrived at Cedars Sinai my clients had to wait in the triage to be checked in, while I had to wait in the visitor room. I didn't like this part of the process but I was confident my clients were more than capable to advocate for themselves and their wish for a non-intervention hospital birth.

When Birth is fast and furious
While normally, birth is a progressive journey that unfolds within time and space, when birth is fast and furious, parents are overjoyed and overwhelmed at the same time and the birth team may or may not make it in time to witness baby being born.

Maternity Session in Malibu
For this maternity session in Malibu, we decided to meet at El Matador State Beach. We were gifted with an exceptionally warm and sunny afternoon, which can be not always a guarantee in March.

Maternity session at the Venice Pier
I am always so proud of my clients because even if the temperature by the beach can be, sometimes, on the chilly side, they always put a smile on their faces. They do want their pictures to reflect their inner joy. This was the underlying message for this family of soon-to-be 4. They have always embraced the journey no matter what life has thrown at them.

Baby Mercer Newborn Session
Baby Mercer Newborn Session took place in the Valley on a beautiful sunny Saturday during a colder than usual Los Angeles winter.
