My Birth Stories: From Marvel to Motherhood
Supporting other mothers in their own births has become both my redemption and my joy. Every time I witness a woman in her power, I feel it in every cell of my body. And when things don’t go as planned, I know how to hold space through the unexpected—with compassion, steadiness, and deep respect—if and when they’re ready for it.

Breastfeeding Is Natural, But It’s work!
Breastfeeding is a journey of both beauty and challenge. It’s the quiet midnight feeds, the tender bonding, and also the tears, doubts, and learning curves along the way. Through its ups and downs, breastfeeding invites patience, surrender, and deep connection between mother and baby.

The Ceremony of Burning the Cord.
The burning of the cord is more than a ritual—it’s a moment of reverence. Flame and time replace scissors and haste, creating a sacred pause between mother and child. A reminder that separation can be tender, ceremonial, and filled with love.

(A Devoted) Guardian of the Journey
In every birth, there’s someone who steps into the role of Guardian of the Journey. It’s a role that goes beyond simply witnessing; it’s about holding space, offering comfort, and creating a sense of calm through the unpredictable and sacred process of labor.

A Birth Journey with Mama Robin: From Home to Hospital and Beyond
When I first spoke with Mama Robin over the phone, I was immediately drawn to her warmth and the deep love she had for the family she was building. As a doula and bodyworker, I often form strongconnections with the families I support, but Robin was special from the start.

Unassisted Birth
Our society often shows criticism and judgement toward those who dare to choose a different path from the mass, yet this mother did not shy away from defying the stigma that our society has built around birth. We grow up seeing birth as one of the most frightening days of our lives; I wish anyone could experience birth like this family did!

Birth Photography After a Cesarean
I am so grateful to this family for valuing birth photography after a cesarean as the opportunity to capture this experience a role model for their wise three daughters and amazing son. This mom broke all the records and won against all the odds, even birthing her daughter on her own birth-day!

The Wonders of the Placenta
The Placenta is the only organ women create during pregnancy and that is used only during pregnancy to sustain and grow our bab(ies). There is one side that lies against the mother's womb-the mother side- and another that faces the baby-the baby's side- and it serves almost like a pillow during pregnancy.

A Beautiful Butter Birth at Home
I loved watching how mom at first simply enjoyed baby by greeting and talking and THEN decided to discover the gender.

Is Homebirth Safe?
Women have birthed their babies at home since the beginning of time, never wondering: Is Homebirth Safe?
When the concept of hospitalization during child labor was not yet the norm, we were used to homebirth as the normal way of giving birth.

Amazing Homebirth Prenatal Visit
Whether you hire me as your Doula or just to document your birth, I always offer a Homebirth Prenatal Visit. The birth team gets to see the space and reflects on the logistics. Mom gets a taste of what type of energy the birth team will bring into her sacred space. Her family has the chance to meet the birth team, perhaps for the first time, and while I think older siblings are quick to warm up, I am a strong believer that they should be included as often as possible in the care of their baby. These visits are such a gift. They are like a birth team group hug with a huge scope of imagination.

Incredible non-intervention Hospital Birth
Once arrived at Cedars Sinai my clients had to wait in the triage to be checked in, while I had to wait in the visitor room. I didn't like this part of the process but I was confident my clients were more than capable to advocate for themselves and their wish for a non-intervention hospital birth.

When Birth is fast and furious
While normally, birth is a progressive journey that unfolds within time and space, when birth is fast and furious, parents are overjoyed and overwhelmed at the same time and the birth team may or may not make it in time to witness baby being born.

Gentle Third Baby Water Birth
After two hospital birth, this mama was ready for her third baby water birth.

An unexpected Breech baby
This news certainly changed things and especially how mom felt about birthing at home. After some soul searching and deep pondering, she decided she was not comfortable trying turn baby -due to the late stage of her pregnancy the inversion only had a small percentage of success. So birthing in the hospital via Cesarean birth was the only and safest option.

A Beautiful Precipitous Home Birth
A precipitous birth is not expected but it does happen! When it happens...well it happens fast!

Incredible Water Birth in the South Bay
As the sun started to peak through the living room window, mama M 's vision for her perfect water birth in the South Bay started to take place. With Frank Sinatra signing in the background, baby Amary was soon born in the arms of her mom and dad and the strict supervision of her doggie Opi.

Healing Closing of the bones Ceremony
A closing of the bones ceremony can be extremely healing after a miscarriage, a traumatic birth, the end of a breastfeeding journey, the beginning of menopause; but also trauma, stress, PTSD, autism and so much more.

Through the special Lens of Birth Photography
It is the most sacred experience and closest to the divine, besides giving birth. No matter how many times I have walked into the birth space and attended the love fest party of a family giving birth, I always leave high on happy hormones, with a heart full joy for the hope that a new life may bring to the world.

The Special Doula and Birth Photographer Cape
I am just a witness, a vessel that has worked with mom for weeks beforehand to make sure mom feels empowered, knowledgeable and loved enough to recognize that she can give birth in the best possible given way.
